Each local unit should have a 2023 Annual Celebration program book for reference of new officers, financial reports, coming dates and explanations of goals for the 5 Channels of Giving, Living the Charter for Racial Justice, and Reading Program. New this year was 2 pages listing "All We've Done Together" - who we supported, where we donated items, and many, many examples of activities and events we organized, presented and attended.

God’s Spirit is on me; he’s chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor,
Sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind,
To set the burdened and battered free, to announce, “This is God’s time to shine!”

-- Luke 4:18 (The Message)

Join us to celebrate all that we have done together as United Women in Faith this year! The day will feature two wonderful speakers, a lovely lunch, awards, music, officer elections, a book signing, and plenty of fellowship. Local missions will be on hand with displays, ready to answer your questions about their programs, ways you can volunteer, and support them.

We welcome everyone to register and attend in person or by livestream.
No group or church membership is required.

Our two featured speakers:

Bishop Ruben Saenz, Jr.

. . . was elected as a Bishop in 2016 and has served the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church since January 2023. Since 2022 he has served the Central Texas Conference.
The Bishop and his wife, Mayé, have four adult children, and all are active in the life of The United Methodist Church. Two of their sons serve as pastors of growing congregations in the Rio Texas Conference. He and Mayé have 10 grandchildren.

Brittany K. Barnett

. . . is the author of "A Knock at Midnight: A Story of Hope, Justice, and Freedom" and the founder of Girls Embracing Mothers (GEM). She grew up in the East District of the North Texas Conference and is an attorney.
GEM has received a large grant from UWF so we want to hear about how she is empowering women in prison and their daughters to break the cycle of incarceration to lead successful lives.
