Rev. Danielle Buwon Kim was born in South Korea and moved to the United States during her middle school years. She went on to study Biology at the University of Texas at Dallas and subsequently became a high school Biology teacher, serving in various school districts that included gifted and talented students, as well as at-risk alternative school students.
While teaching, Rev. Kim pursued her studies at Perkin School of Theology, where she graduated with a Master of Divinity degree. She is now an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, with a deep commitment to nurturing faith communities that actively contribute to the betterment of the world. Following her service as the Associate Minister of Adult Discipleship at Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, she has recently been appointed as the Associate Director of Research and Development at the North Texas Annual Conference. Concurrently, she continues to serve as the pastor of Ka:ll Community.
Rev. Kim is married to David, who is also a seminary graduate and works as a software engineer. Together, they share the joy of raising two amazing dogs - Methuselah (Thusie) and Nebuchadnezzar (Nezzie). Thusie, a brave dachshund, fearlessly navigates life despite being blind, while Nezzie, a one-eyed poodle, possesses a heart full of boundless love.
