World Thank Offering
a United Women in Faith tradition
What is World Thank Offering? It is a way for members of United Women in Faith to show gratitude for God's blessings and find creative ways to raise funds to improve the lives of women, children, and youth. Through the World Thank Offering, you support the total program of mission carried on through United Women in Faith’s national office in the United States and around the world.
We thank God for our blessings through our prayers and our giving. We celebrate World Thank Offering, where we bring our gifts of gratitude for the transformation of local and global communities “turning faith, hope and love into action on behalf of women, children and youth around the world”.
November as a fitting time of the year to celebrate World Thank Offering as it is a season of thanksgiving and hope but any time is a good time. All the contributions to the World Thank Offering are gathered together to support the total program of mission through the United Methodist Women’s national office. The goal for the World Thank Offering is that members of United Methodist Women’s groups will “discover creative ways to raise funds… so that the lives of women, children and youth will be impacted beyond measure.”
